How The Parenting King sources, checks and corrects its journalism, and how editorial stays independent of advertising.
This policy sets out how The Parenting King decides what to publish, how we check it, and what we do when we get something wrong. It applies to everything on theparentingking.com.
We publish to be useful and to be accurate — in that order of intention, and never at the expense of the second. An article should leave a reader better able to make a decision or understand a subject than the search result that brought them to it. If we cannot do that honestly, we do not publish.
Our articles are produced by our editorial team and by contributors commissioned for their knowledge of a subject. Every piece is read by a human editor before publication. We do not publish unreviewed automated output; where a drafting or research tool assists a writer, an editor remains responsible for the accuracy of every claim that survives into the published article.
Before publication an editor checks names, figures, dates, quotations and any claim that a reader might act on. Where a claim cannot be verified, it is removed or attributed clearly to whoever made it. Articles that describe prices, rules or product specifications carry the date they were checked.
We correct errors promptly and visibly. If you spot one, write to editor@theparentingking.com with the article and the specific claim.
Our commercial and editorial functions are separate. Advertisers, sponsors and recommendation partners have no sight of articles before publication and no influence over what we cover or what we conclude. No advertiser can buy a favourable verdict or the removal of an unfavourable one.
Advertising on this site is served programmatically, which means we do not choose the individual advertisers whose material appears alongside our articles, and their presence is never an endorsement by us.
Where an article is paid for, it is labelled as sponsored or partnered at the top, before the reader reads it. Where an article contains affiliate links that earn us a commission, we disclose that in the article. A commission never determines a recommendation: where the better product is the one that pays us nothing, that is the one we recommend. See the Disclaimer.
We revisit articles that readers still arrive at when the underlying facts change. A substantively updated article shows its updated date. We do not refresh a date without changing the content to justify it.
If you believe we have breached this policy, write to editor@theparentingking.com setting out the article and the concern. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to resolve within ten. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can escalate to the publisher at legal@theparentingking.com.
