Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small sweet red pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 3 scallions, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 12 Boston lettuce leaves, rinsed and patted dry
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch mint, leaves picked, rinsed and dried
  • 1 bunch cilantro, leaves picked, rinsed and dried
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
